he comes in a whirl with short Einstein curls
to pick up his cat on its fourth journey back.
He
always complains 'cause the old house has changed;
The
landlord has taken the toilets, the car parts, the paint pots, and bicycle
off from the front of the house.
Now
there's nothing for him here, there's nothing for him anywhere,
and he never was as truthful as his cat, and
there's
substance in memories that the present always lacks. |
